Please check our home page and social media for our latest opening hours as these are currently subject to staff availability. We are doing all we can to provide consistent opening hours.
Yes we allow dogs in the conservatory, we have water bowls and dog treats available as well as doggy ice cream!
We have taken the decision at this time not to allow dogs up the stairs as not all our guests love our four legged friends.
Yes we do serve gluten-free options however all our food is produced in a small kitchen which handles all allergens and therefore there is a risk of contamination
Yes, we have a number of vegan menu options available. One of our chefs is a vegan and is responsible for all the cakes in the cabinet and we are always testing new ideas & options so please share feedback.
Unfortunately due to initially receiving a high number of no shows and not being able to process deposits at this time we have taken the difficult decision not to accept bookings but operate a first come, first served policy
Currently due to an ongoing shortage of staff in the hospitality industry we have not been able to offer a full service outside with china, cutlery, tea service etc. As soon as we are able to change this we will.
Our coffee is from a local roasters in Exeter, Exe Coffee. When we undertook our coffee tasting earlier this year, we felt this offered the broadest flavour profile as well as giving the best flavour across all the coffee drinks.
Yes the café is fully licensed. We serve crement, prosecco, red and white wine, local beers and ciders and a small selection of spirits. We can provide you with takeaway cups should you wish to sit outside.
Last orders for food are 30 minutes before we close and last orders for cake and coffee are up to 5 minutes before we close.
We do recycle all our waste and pay a waste management company off site to do this for us due to the size of the café. This is the most efficient system for us but we are always open to solution as to how we can further reduce our waste and our impact on the planet.
We are always looking for ways to minimise waste at the café but any food waste that goes unsold we look to gift to our some of our customers at the end of the day or we give to staff to take home to their families. We are investigating if there is a way for us to also better support the local community with this.
We are always looking for good people to join our team. If you email clocktowercafesidmouth@gmail.com with the hours you are interested in and any relevant experience one of our team will be in contact with you.
